Clique-ing away...
The other day we had our first 《茶馆》 lesson, den the tcher was telling us abt the background info. And abt how foreign countries forced china to sign agreements to 割让土地 to them. Den we said if that happened to Singapore, we'll be touring the world every day we go home from sch (my fren lives in choa chu kang)cuz Bedok would be under England, Kembangan under USA, Town under Singapore, Clementi under France and Choa Chu kang under Russia. We figured that's how around the world in 80 days came abt... budden the way the teacher said it made it real funny. China won the battle, but still paid the foreign countries money and gave them land. It doesn make sense. U fight a bully, u win, pinning him to the ground. Then u take out money and your sweets and give them to him. HUH?
Than on Tuesday, i had PW meeting and my PW group members and i were talking abt unity in our class over lunch. Haha. Our class isn united. Not really la, though it isn THAT divided either. But we tink the main reason's that our class is largely (ok. only 1 and 1/2 guys and 20something girls) made up of girls. And girls tend to move in cliques. Which is why our class is so cliquey. And so not united. haha. Not that it was a mystery before. Then we started listing the cliques... and we realise the cliques are rather clearly defined... Gladys, Geraldine, Siu Fen, Shauna clique. Anime clique - Tissina, Esther, Yvonne, Miak(cuz of Yvonne.), Kai Leng, Zhi Yuan Anti-social clique - Gilbert Yong Ernn, Shee Mun, Grace clique (when in class inclusive of me and Hui Min.) Halimah, Yvonne, Laura, An Ru clique Councillor clique - Xin Ru TKGS clique - Wan Li, Denise, Fiona The 讲华语 clique - me and Hui Min Then the LEP pple other than me and Hui Min usually move alone. cuz of the difference in time table. So the cliques above only apply in class. Then me in LEP class got the Jaime, Li Si, Chen Si, Hui Min clique too. Hmmmmm.... Looks like we're stuck together. We are Friends Forever with our cliques. Inpenetratable cliqes. This is part of the girl power thing bah. Girls stick like uhu glue with their cliques. But then again. My class. 3204. Hmm... we kinda talk to each other too. At times we leave our cliques, maybe for a second, to connect with pple from other cliques who happen to leave their cliques for the same second too. Like me and Kai Leng, for example. We get along well. We can talk. Me and Xin Ru. We do talk abt stuff. Hmmm... maybe this class unity, class spirit thing might still be possible afterall. Joyce at 11:15 PM
